Assistant Coach
This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership and supervision of the student-athletes in the athletic program that has been assigned to him/her. The individual may also have teaching assignments or other duties assigned and will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and/or controlling of his/her players' behavior in the residence halls.
Duties1. Assist in the supervision of all activities of the assigned athletic program;
2. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district;
3. Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the administration, faculty, and support staff;
4. Assist in the supervision of the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance;
5. Assist in maintaining and reporting accurate scholarship information to the Director of Athletics, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed and as assigned by the head coach;
6. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program;
7. Coordinates, through the head coach, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities;
8. Participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
9. Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations is mandatory. 10. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Soccer execution knowledge. Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, good written and verbal communication skills, knowledgeable of basic first-aid techniques 2-5 years of relevant work experience Knowledge Athletic Culture, MACC and NJCAA Regulations Also:
1. Support the College Vision and Mission in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities
2. Actively participate in maintaining and effective, compliant and continuous recruiting program
3. Participates in Institution Effectiveness Activities
4. Represent the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities
5. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or President
