Pastor

Edon Baptist Church, located in Stringer, Miss., is actively searching for a full-time or bi-vocational pastor to join our church family and lead our congregation. Stringer is located in Jasper County, in the Stringer Attendance Center School District, just north of Laurel, Miss., about an hour's drive away from Hattiesburg or Meridian. We are a small, Southern Baptist Church, averaging 60-85 attending during

Sunday morning worship. We have

School and active small groups, along with Sunday morning worship,Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer services, with children and youth meeting separately. The church furnishes a 3 bedroom, 2 bath parsonage next door to the church.

Edon's desire is to find a man who meets the criteria from 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4. We are looking for a compassionate leader to engage in fellowship, worship, witnessing, education, ministry, and application of Scripture. We would like to find a pastor who can effectively encourage and guide the church council and volunteers to achieve God's Will for Edon and our surrounding community.
