Cast Member

City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group academic support to students in partnership with teachers
• Build positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement, attendance, and confidence
• Track and report student progress using school and City Year tools
• Support whole-school activities such as events, assemblies, and family outreach
• Collaborate with a diverse Ameri
• Corps team to plan and deliver interventions
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Model City Year's values of equity, service, and inclusivity within the school community
