Job Title

Educator, Area 4-H Youth Development Extension

• Identification and formation of work partnerships with relevantlocal organizations, agencies and institutions to deliver educational events and activities
• Works with producers and agricultural related associations toexplore strategies for improving production and profitability basedon environmentally sound recommendations
• Conducts on-farm demonstrations utilizing current research-based information emphasizing soil preparation and quality; production, harvesting and the marketing of alternativecrops
• Maintains a working relationship with Extension Specialists andother Area Extension Educators to develop and implement project proposals in high priority areas

• Implementation of educational programs regarding farmmanagement, including financial management, herd health, management and business analysis, risk management workshops, short courses,tours, demonstrations, and other appropriate teaching and deliverymethod
• Other related duties, as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in a field of study related to crops science, horticulture, soil science, entomology orplant pathology

Three (3) years related experience
