- Empower Student Success:
Deliver engaging, high-quality academic instruction that helps students earn their High School Diploma (HSD) or GED while building core literacy and numeracy skills. - Guide Individual Journeys:
Create customized achievement plans and provide student case management to ensure steady progress, high retention, and proud graduation days. - Bridge Theory & Trade:
Partner closely with Career Technical Training (CTT) instructors to blend academic learning into hands-on technical curricula, making education relevant to the modern workforce. - Build an Inspiring Classroom:
Maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive learning environment where student accountability, career success standards, and professional dress codes are modeled and respected. - Protect Data Integrity:
Keep flawless records, maintain strict confidentiality, and ensure full compliance with company standards and Department of Labor (DOL) performance goals.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (Master's degree preferred). - Credentials: A valid State Teaching Certificate or an approved teaching waiver is required.
- Experience:
Prior teaching experience and/or familiarity with the Job Corps ecosystem is highly preferred. - Mindset:
Strong classroom management skills, clear professional communication, a collaborative spirit, and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- A student-focused, empathetic approach to adult education.
- Strong organizational skills to manage student tracking and reporting efficiently.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- The flexibility to adapt, take direction from leadership, and collaborate across departments to support our campus community.
