About the role
You don’t need prior Power sector experience for this role, you can learn that with us. What is essential is experience working under NEC3 contracts.
We’re recruiting for the BBNP project, with flexibility to work from our Inverness or Glasgow office, and with the site based in Elgin.
We welcome applicants from any industry with NEC experience. Direct experience in the power sector isn’t essential — you’ll build this through structured training, on‑the‑job learning, and continued professional development. If you’re commercially minded and ready to grow, we’ll equip you with everything you need to thrive and develop deep sector expertise.
What you'll be doing- Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
- Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain.
- Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers.
- Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contract administration with both client and subcontractors.
- Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification.
- Commercial management of a large infrastructure project or a portfolio of smaller projects.
- You will have the following qualities/experience:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
- Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
- Good communication skills.

Experience working on NEC 3 & 4 Contracts.
