Complex Engineer

Location: Morton

The Complex Engineer will be responsible for managing engineering activities at six (6) complex locations (2-Hatcheries, 1-Feed Mill, 1-Processing Plant, 1-Debone Plant and 1-Prepared Foods/DC Plant). The engineering activities include supporting operations management to promote continuous improvements within the complex.

* Design and develop improvement opportunities working with management teams and outside resources to explore opportunities for process improvements.

* Function as the project manager for assigned projects managing scope, schedule and budget.

* Communicate effectively to all levels of management.

* All other relevant duties to the job.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred with 10+ years of experience in industry related roles.

* 5+ years of work experience (prefer Food Industry related with Poultry emphasis).

* Must have experience with managing projects with multiple internal and external professional teams.

* Ability to recognize continuous improvement projects and develop found opportunities into projects (Six Sigma Green Belt preferred).

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

* Comfortable with speaking to large groups of people and leading project teams.

* Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel and Access).

* Excellent CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit and 3D).

* Travel will be required along with working weekends and overnight as needed.
