Chemical Process Engineer Co‑op

Chemours is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer Co‑op to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team. This position will be available at the Pass Christian, MS location and report directly to the Co‑op Coordinator.

As a Process Engineering Co‑op, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Technology team gaining valuable experience through hands‑on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real‑time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom.

Location: Pass Christian, MS

Hours: Full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week

Preferred First Term: Fall May‑August 2026

Candidates must be able to commit to at least two (2) co‑op terms; preferably three (3) terms. This co‑op program consists of rotating semesters where students will alternate between school semesters and work terms.

First

Fall August‑December 2026

Second

Work Term:

Summer May‑August 2027

Third

Work Term:

Spring January‑May 2028

Responsibilities
  • Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
  • Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
  • Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
  • Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
  • Communicating tests and other ongoing work with engineering mentors, operations, management, etc.
Required qualifications
  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Preferred qualifications
  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
  • Completion of initial Engineering coursework
