Quality Engineer

Raytheon in Forest, MS, is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide engineering support and expertise ensuring compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. This position will provide education and knowledge on the use of quality resources in the administration of the Quality System. You will work on projects and/or processes to provide measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives.

After obtaining a government clearance, you will work in a closed environment to access classified materials with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. This is a 1st shift role on a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off).

What You Will Do

  • Perform Quality functions with the Advanced Radar Systems within Forest MS
  • Participate in Root Cause analysis and CORE initiatives
  • Manage Quality specific metrics
  • Apply your quality knowledge and processes
  • Actively pursue methods and process to improve overall quality of our products

Qualifications you must have

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Relevant experience is working in engineering, manufacturing or quality engineering
  • Experience with AS 9100 quality management systems or equivalent
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and/or continuous improvement
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) application, manufacturing and/or assembly
  • Experience with metrology, measurement tools and practices

Qualifications we prefer

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience working with US government customers (DCMA, USN, etc.)
  • Experience working with external suppliers and mechanical inspection techniques
  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes and could work within a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers in efforts to reducing and eliminating quality defects
  • Hands-on use of statistical process controls for process monitoring, qualification and/or design feedback
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts
  • Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to collaborate and team with multiple internal functions and external organizations to provide best value solutions to our customers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and application of business acumen

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of War, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
