Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist
Provides tooling, equipment, process design, and ability to produce reviews, Lean leadership and other technical support for manufacturing processes in the Tupelo facility. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing manufacturing process improvements and upgrades where appropriate. May develop Capital Expense Requests and Proposals for submittal. Provides technical expertise and support to manufacturing to meet customer deliveries. Identifies and implements waste reduction solutions as part of the Continuous Improvement program.
Participates on and implements preventive actions recommended by the Hazard Elimination Team. Leads selected Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve process flow. Conducts production/manufacturing reviews to ensure product designs are producible and cost effective.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) required. Five or more years of experience providing technical support in a metal fabrication environment. Training and certification as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of leading focused Kaizen teams in Continuous improvement projects. Proficient with Solid Works and/or AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
