Staff Manufacturing Engineer (Stamping)
Job Duties

Responsibilities- Participate in machine guarding risk analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and keep manufacturing capabilities aligned with new products
- Coordinate with suppliers and machine shops for die fabrication, repair, and overhaul
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for sustaining and NPI initiatives
- Conduct design reviews utilizing the phase‑gate structure and provide technical recommendations for NPI, MDE, and site leadership
- Organize, manage, and execute Engineering Sample Requests
- Production
- Engage in daily PIM activities and support engineering escalations from the manufacturing floor
- Provide solutions or technical guidance to solve production issues and improve efficiency
- Use the MES system to monitor production and develop improvement projects
- Die Maintenance & Improvement
- Provide guidance and support to the Tool Shop and/or Die Mechanics
- Monitor spare tooling and usage
- Partner with the shop floor on improvement suggestions and employ kaizen methodology for implementation and sustainment
- Quality Issues
- Coordinate with team members to resolve quality issues and ensure product quality through the CAPA process
- Monitor scrap quantities and develop projects to reduce scrap
- Productivity Improvement
- Identify improvement opportunities such as supercharging, tooling usage, scrap quantities, and OEE to create operational throughput and productivity savings
- Leverage best practices from other industries and TE sites to guide improvement opportunities for the Lickdale operation
- Certified in machine guarding assessments, a plus
- Digital Factory/Hydra experience, a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi‑cultural environment
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize through an evolving set of objectives based on business conditions, capital planning, and new product launches
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic global environment
- Proficient in MS Office software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- SAP experience, a plus
- Strong project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred or 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing stamping environment or similar discipline

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,600 - $182,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Total compensation includes base salary, incentive(s), and benefits.
