What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignments under close supervision.
- Work with the direction of an Engineer and/or Senior Designer and interface with other disciplines.
- Meet all deadlines as required by the project schedule.
- Perform necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements and as-building existing systems.
- Learn senior design skills to continue to grow and support the department’s needs.
- MTO Material Take Off – Estimating required material for projects.
- Work on various projects and maintain project schedules.
- Design, review, and maintain all manner of I&E drawings, including but not limited to P&I’s, single lines, motor schematics, I/O drawings, panel schedules and loadings, cable tray routes, CCS, and M&E databases.

Ideal Background- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer‑Aided Drafting preferred. - Certification:
Not required at this level. - Experience:
5+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
- E&I designer with 5+ years’ experience in the design of instrumentation and electrical systems including PLC, DCS, motor schematics, P&I’s, single lines, and logic drawings.
- Proficient in Micro Station, Excel, Word; PDMS/E3D experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to design in congested operating areas and possess fieldwork experience.
- Comfortable with work at heights above 6 feet, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and using man‑lifts.
- Able to work in an operating chemical plant in the heat and humidity of South Mississippi.
- Prefer Micro Station; willing to use AutoCAD if required.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
