Engineering Technician

The LeVanta engineering technician will help build and test prototypes, requiring extensive hands‑on work. The technician will also be expected to work independently with a creative and proactive approach, identifying potential problems and offering solutions. Tasks include but are not limited to engineering research, product/component design, test and data analysis, and hands on fabrication of prototype drone components, drones, and drone testing apparatus and support infrastructure.

The start‑up environment is dynamic, lean, demanding, and fast‑paced. The ideal candidate is someone who can immediately contribute, deliver on planned goals, and motivate and infect others with a passion for product development. The individual hired for this position will be required to work at LeVanta’s facility in Stennis, MS.

• Solidworks or other CAD software proficiency

• Structural design & composites work

BS/AS degree or trade school certificate or significant hands‑on technical and engineering experience. Preference for educational experience in mechanical, ocean, aeronautical, computer science/engineering, or electrical engineering, or closely related field. Candidates with significant training and skill sets in trade disciplines will also be considered.
