Location: Ellisville

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to production and operations teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and effective communication.
  • Lead daily operational meetings to ensure production goals, process improvements, and changing business priorities are effectively communicated and executed.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to team members, addressing performance issues as needed while supporting employee development.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance by ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Partner with training teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure employees are properly trained and cross-trained.
  • Develop and manage staffing plans, work schedules, and overtime to meet operational priorities and customer demand.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Design, implement, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, sensors, drives, and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Support automation projects from concept through installation, validation, production launch, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Analyze equipment performance, process data, and production trends to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
  • Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, process changes, and design reviews while ensuring maintainability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, drawings, troubleshooting guides, validation records, and system documentation.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, Lean events, team development activities, and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field; advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation engineering, controls engineering, industrial automation, robotics, or a related technical environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation technologies, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, robotics, motion control, sensors, drives, and electrical control systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and implementing corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
  • Familiarity with automation projects, equipment integration, validation, process improvements, and regulated or high-compliance manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-based environments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and support operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
