Process Control Engineer II

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Process Control Engineer II - Electrical Supervisor to support safe, reliable operations in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will manage plant process control systems, electrical distribution, and instrumentation while supervising electricians and technicians. You will lead troubleshooting, upgrades, and reliability improvements, ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize performance and reduce downtime in a highly sustainable, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and optimization of process control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
• Supervise and develop electricians and control technicians, ensuring safe work practices.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Plan and execute control system and electrical reliability projects and upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to improve throughput, quality, and energy efficiency.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, and control logic standards for plant systems.
• Support startup, commissioning, and testing of new or modified equipment.
• Participate in on-call support for critical control and electrical issues.
