Poker Supervisor​/Dealer DR Horseshoe Tunica

Position: Poker Supervisor/Dealer DR (FT) (Horseshoe Tunica)
Location: Robinsonville

Responsible for the poker room operation on an assigned basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

When functioning as a Supervisor:

* Responsible for dealers being upbeat and friendly while also taking responsibility for following dealing procedures and keeping proper game pace.

* Inspires with a clear direction and gets others excited about being a part of the company.

* Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model for all employees.

* Conveys positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the guest interaction.

* Continuously improves service by assessing service problems using player feedback or data.

* Communicates service problems and team plans in buzz sessions and facilitates problem-solving meetings with team.

* Immediately addresses service issues and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

* Keeps team well informed of property promotions and events and is present and visible at customer events.

* Takes personal responsibility for creating an atmosphere of luck.

* Ensures proper procedure is used by all dealers under supervision.

* Verifies all gaming table transactions in supervised area.

* Verifies issuance of credit after completion of all authorization procedures. Issues to customers the proper amount of gaming chips after completion of the credit authorization procedures.

When functioning as a Dealer:

* Conducts assigned game according to procedure.

* Exchanges cash for gaming chips according to procedure.

* Cooperates with other Dealers when assigned to the same game (Craps).

* Controls pace of the game. Informs the Casino Games Supervisor of any request or unusual play.

* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

* Employees will be evaluated periodically to determine suitability to continue in dual-rate function.

* Position is located in a cigarette smoke environment.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/

EXPERIENCE:

* Thorough knowledge of all poker games and operations.

* Two years experience as a poker dealer in a casino environment.

* One year supervisory experience in poker room operations.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel

* Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

* Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

* Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier.

* Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.

* Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
