Slot Technician

Job Description

Provide general maintenance and repairs to all slot machines and related gaming equipment. Perform their duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures in the pursuit of the company goals and philosophy.

• Safeguard the company’s assets and the customers' safety in their assigned areas.
• Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to maintain company safety standards.
• Repair of slots and gaming related equipment.
• Perform general maintenance as assigned or in accordance with existing procedures.
• Installation, movement, denomination, and game change of slot machines as directed by management.
• Perform predetermined tests and checks on specific machines to establish causes for identified problems as reported by management or slot floor personnel, i.e. excessive hopper fills, etc.
• Perform all duties in accordance with state gaming regulations.
• Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.
• Promote outstanding guest relations.
• Perform all other assigned duties.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Technical background in repair
• Knowledge of slots and related gaming equipment preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations.
