Position Scope

The purpose of this job is to provide quality customer service through the processing of a variety of cash and noncash transactions. The Teller position is part of the Retail Team, the team that is the "face" of United Mississippi Bank.

• Always represent UMB professionally
• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
• Complete work with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner
• Accept retail and commercial checking and savings deposits
• Accept and process cash deposits
• Process withdrawals and cash checks up to designated limits
• Assure compliance with all applicable bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations
• Acquire and maintain knowledge about the importance, requirements of, and procedures for completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Regulation CC holds
• Comply with dual control and security procedures
• Accept loan payments of all types
• Know when to report suspicious transactions, activity, or situations to appropriate personnel
• Balance cash within established guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing the branch
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
• Participate in community service: attend bank functions within the community, interact with customers to create a community relationship, identify opportunities for new business
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management as this is not a complete description of all the work requirements related to this job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understand PC/10 key functions
