Correctional Program Specialist II

Job Title

This position is located in the South MS Correctional Institution Record's Department. Journey level professional program position accountable for various correctional programs within the Department of Corrections.

An incumbent in this classification may be responsible for disciplinary investigations, agricultural operations, surveillance, or a farm program. This job differs from the first level in that an incumbent in this classification handles more complex programs and may be required to perform internal affairs investigations.

Must be able to abide by the MSPB and MDOC policies, rules and regulations governing the workplace. The ability to adapt quickly, be courteous and maintain confidentiality. Be a team player and goal oriented.

Preferred qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
