Location: Magee
Position Summary
Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality radiographic and mammogram images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.
Education Requirements- Graduate of a radiographer program.
- Completion of eight (8) hours of digital mammographer training.
- Forty (40) hours of training in mammography.
- Performance of twenty-five (25) mammograms under direct supervision of MQSA qualified individual.
One (1) year of clinical Radiation Technology experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements- Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology.
- BLS Certification is required.
