About the Position
Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Location:

Mississippi

Position Overview

Emergency medicine advanced practice coverage in a medium acuity emergency department.

Coverage model includes 24 hours of physician coverage daily and 10 hours of NP or PA coverage daily.

Schedule

10 hour daily NP or PA coverage shifts.

Clinical Scope

Annual emergency department volume: 17,000.

EMR: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

NP must be Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) board certified through ANCC or AANP.

PA must be certified through NCCPA.

Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience as an FNP or PA.

Current DEA registration with Mississippi Controlled Substance Prescribing Authority (CSPA) and a Mississippi address.

ACLS and PALS certifications required.

NIHSS certification required.

Case logs covering the previous 2 years required.

Proof of CME completion covering the previous 2 years required.

Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
