The Training Specialist leads onboarding, education, and competency development for Patient Access scheduling and registration staff, ensuring consistent, accurate, and patient‑centered workflows. This role serves as the department’s expert on EPIC scheduling and registration functions, creating training materials, delivering instruction, and supporting staff through system updates and process changes. Success requires monitoring competency, providing individualized coaching, and identifying opportunities to improve performance, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
The position works closely with Patient Access leaders, providers, and cross‑functional teams to align training initiatives with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. This is a collaborative role that balances classroom instruction, one‑on‑one coaching, workflow optimization, and ongoing education to support continuous learning across the department.
