Location: Onsite – Blue Springs, MS

Contract: 12‑Month W2 (Potential Extension)

Pay Rate: $38–$46/hour (DOE)

About

The Role

We are seeking an L3 Support Tech – Deskside / Infrastructure Support professional to support enterprise‑wide automation and logistics technology initiatives within a highly advanced manufacturing environment.

This role plays a critical part in enabling internal materials movement and robotics operations by supporting the infrastructure, networking, and application layers that power AMR/AGV robotics platforms and plant‑floor systems.

You’ll be involved in evaluating robotics technologies, supporting deployments, integrating fleet management platforms, and ensuring seamless communication between commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) products and internal IT systems.

This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role that blends deskside support, infrastructure operations, networking, and automation technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing Infrastructure Operations
  • Perform pre‑shift health checks across servers, storage, ICs, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide Smart Hands support (installs, refreshes, break/fix).
  • Support preventative maintenance for power and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct plant floor, data center, and telecom infrastructure inspections.
  • Perform wireless network audits and interference remediation.
  • Monitor ANDON systems, infrastructure alerts, and monitoring tools (PRTG, DNAC, etc.).
  • Track production‑impacting issues via Teams/PMI communications.
Network, Power & Cabling
  • Coordinate installation and break/fix of network drops and power connections.
  • Support approved Change Requests (CTASKs).
  • Perform telecom room inspections (power, temperature, checklists).
  • Troubleshoot switches, ports, and telecom/network hardware.
  • Execute hot swaps on mission‑critical equipment.
Administration & User Support
  • Provide escalation support to L2 Production teams.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and file/folder requests.
  • Conduct IT asset inventory audits.
  • Support Priority Service Restoration bridges and incident countermeasures.
Vendor & Site Coordination
  • Escort and supervise vendors in data centers and production areas.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
  • Provide onsite support for incident and change activities.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Create and standardize L3 process documentation.
  • Submit and manage RFCs for infrastructure activities.
  • Maintain operational and compliance records.
Project Support
  • Support infrastructure deployments, rack builds, and upgrades.
  • Assist with plant shutdown activities and non‑production work windows.
Incident Response & On‑Call
  • Serve as POC for production escalations.
  • Monitor alerts across PRTG, SCOM, Nagios, SYSMON, DNAC, etc.
  • Respond to P1–P3 incidents and follow escalation protocols.
  • Provide weekend and on‑call production support.
Top Must‑Have Qualifications
  • On‑prem server administration experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong networking expertise — robotics and automation platforms are highly network‑dependent.
  • Application support experience including basic troubleshooting and system issue resolution.
Additional Must‑Have Skills
  • Understanding of OSI layers and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Network administration experience.
  • End‑user and deskside support background.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
  • Hands‑on cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Experience supporting AMR/AGV robotics technologies such as:

    • JBT
