Location: Pearlington

Job Summary

Contract to Hire position based out of Pearlington, MS. This role requires a Top Secret Clearance with active/eligible SCI, CompTIA Security+ and CCNA certifications. The position supports network operations, troubleshooting, and customer service for telecommunications and IT environments.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Telco providers, LECs, and customers to troubleshoot circuit and data issues.
  • Answer queries by telephone and e‑mail, supporting customer hardware, software, network, and telecommunication systems, and executing network procedures.
  • Provide operational support for all network components, conduct problem determinations and escalations, and deliver problem resolution.
  • Monitor, install, modify, test, and service network equipment.
  • Assist and train lower‑level support employees.
  • Resolve networking/customer related concerns and issues.
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting network instability.
  • Communicate to customers and Leidos leadership any impact on operational continuity.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of network and device relationships.
  • Balance priorities and customer needs during outages or service degradation.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma and 5+ years of experience in network administration/troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows System administration tools and processes.
  • Knowledge coordinating problem resolution across IT functional areas.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/events simultaneously.
  • CCNA certification.
  • Experience with Solar Winds or similar network monitoring tools.
  • Experience in secret and top‑secret network topology.
  • Initiative in supporting other NOC personnel in troubleshooting network issues.
  • Professional customer service experience in a 24×7 operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA/CCNP certification.
  • JNCIA certification.
  • DHS Experience.
  • Microsoft certification.
  • Taclane/Encryptor troubleshooting experience.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 4 years of professional experience.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, and VoIP networks.
  • Understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile and Dev Sec Ops .
  • Current Secret clearance.
  • Education and experience levels:
    • High School Diploma with 10–14 years of experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of experience.
    • Master’s degree with 2–4 years of experience.
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Active TS/SCI clearance.
    • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIE.
    • ITIL v3 Practitioner or ITIL v4 Foundations, and/or CISSP.
    • Security+ or CISSP certification.
    • SAFe certification.
    • ITIL v4 equivalent.
  • Provide ongoing network support, manage availability and performance issues, performing Tier 2/3 Service Desk support, tuning activities, and reporting on network performance.
  • Maintain user accounts and update system security plans on all platforms.
  • Implement and coordinate network policies, procedures, and standards, enforcing security procedures.
