Cyber Security Engineer

Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Engineer supports implementation, maintenance, integration, and tuning of technical security controls and security tooling across enterprise systems. This role works across operations, architecture, and compliance teams to strengthen technical security posture and support risk reduction.

• Implement, configure, and maintain security tools, controls, and supporting technologies.
• Support secure configuration, system hardening, patching coordination, and control validation activities.
• Assist with technical analysis of vulnerabilities, findings, configuration issues, and operational security gaps.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and system administrators to implement corrective actions.
• Support engineering documentation, diagrams, technical recommendations, and change assessments.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and validation of security solutions.
• Assist with cloud and on-premise security engineering tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, systems security, or related technical roles.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, network security, configuration management, and secure systems engineering.
• Familiarity with scripting, automation, or tool integration is desirable.
• Strong technical analysis and documentation skills.

• CySA+
• SSCP, GSEC, or similar engineering/security certification

• Ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability/public trust clearance.
