JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE
Technology Support Technician
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 48 hours of college credit in technology/network related courses. Documented experience may be considered in lieu of college hours.
- Prefer documented experience in computer repair, installation of technology equipment and software.
- A working knowledge of hardware, software, and network infrastructure
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide end user support while aiding the Network Engineers to maintain the district’s technology, computer assets, and supporting staff in the use of technology.
- Complete work requests using support ticket system
- Prioritize work orders
- Assist Network Engineers with monitoring network
- Establish and maintain staff and student accounts
- Monitor HVAC online system and schedule as applicable
- Act as liaison between school and network engineers
- Follow purchasing guidelines and procedures for equipment and supplies
- Assist with website support and updates
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all administrators
- Manage technology fixed assets
- Assist with monitoring of internet safety and security
- Recommend technology cycled upgrades
- Act as point of contact for MDE
- Others duties assigned by supervisor
