Import Procurement ManagerReports to:
VP of Imports
Level: Level 3 – First Level Management
Status:
Salary / Exempt
The Import Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement, demand planning, inventory management, and supplier performance functions for a global product portfolio. This role ensures the company maintains optimal inventory levels while balancing customer demand, supplier capacity, transportation timelines, and company profitability.
Duties and responsibilities- Lead demand planning and procurement activities for domestic and international suppliers.
- Develop purchasing strategies that optimize inventory investment while maintaining high customer service levels.
- Review forecasts, purchase orders, and replenishment plans to ensure appropriate inventory flow and safety stock.
- Manage inventory across multiple distribution centers while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs.
- Analyze demand trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with overseas and domestic suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance including production capacity, manufacturing schedules, lead times, on‑time shipping performance, and quality metrics.
- Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead forecasting activities utilizing historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and business initiatives.
- Support product lifecycle management from product launch through end‑of‑life.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 + years of procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain management experience.
