A well established and growing aerospace and defense manufacturer with a team that cares about their people is hiring a Senior Buyer to lead strategic sourcing and procurement for a highly regulated, high-specification supply chain.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery reliability
• Develop sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and risk across materials, components, sub-assemblies, and design-to-spec items
• Negotiate contracts and terms that secure favorable cost, quality, and lead-time outcomes
• Manage end-to-end procurement including RFQs, PO generation, and order tracking
• Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to keep material flowing on time
• Ensure procurement activities comply with ITAR, DFARS, FAR, and other industry regulations
• Manage import/export compliance in coordination with logistics teams
• Mentor junior buyers and drive continuous improvement across the purchasing function

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, Master's a plus
• 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in aerospace or defense
• Strong working knowledge of ITAR, DFARS, and FAR
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills with regulated or high-spec suppliers
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, SAP or Oracle preferred
• APICS or ISM certification (CPSM or CPIM) highly desirable
