GENERAL JOB DUTIES FOR ALL STORE TEAM MEMBERS

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility roughly daily.

TRAINING

Orientation and training provided on the job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders by phone or in person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SKILLS

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, written, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
  • Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
  • Navigate maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
  • Navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings while carrying product.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures 36–90°F.
  • Possible contact with food odors, cornmeal dust, and hot surfaces up to 500°F.
  • Exposure to cramped quarters such as walk‑in coolers.
  • Harmful or hazardous situations such as moving heavy trays and walking on uneven surfaces.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing

Most tasks performed while standing on ceramic tile or linoleum in food process areas.

Walking

Short distances and short durations; delivery personnel must travel between store, vehicle, and customers.

Sitting

Paperwork usually completed at a desk or table.

Lifting

Bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) offloaded with a hand truck and placed on shelves up to 72” high.

Carrying

Large cans (≈3 lb), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), dough trays (≈12 lb each), and delivery items are carried over short distances.

Pushing

Trays on dollies require up to 7.5 lbs of force; trays may also be pulled.

Climbing

Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders; delivery may involve five or more flights of stairs.

Stooping/Bending

Forward bending at the waist is required at the assembly station for about 30–45 seconds repeatedly; similarly at the front counter and during stocking.

Crouching/Squatting

Occasional crouching or squatting for stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.

Reaching

Continuous reaching; up, down, and forward – up to 72” for oven controls and down to perform tasks such as scooping cornmeal.

Driving

Deliver pizzas within a designated area; may make several deliveries per shift. Requires a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.
