Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in creating safe, functional, and welcoming environments where people can learn, work, and thrive. In this essential role, you will be a steward of our Center’s facilities—ensuring that buildings, grounds, and critical systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in full compliance with safety standards. Your expertise will directly support our mission and the daily success of those we serve.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance required with knowledge of local building codes, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, boilers and other building systems. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

Supervises maintenance staff in the absence of the Facility Manager/Supervisor. May provide supervision and training to Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
