Responsibilities
- Coordinates, leads and performs the taking of physical inventories in accordance with ODW and customer requirements.
- Coordinates the activities associated with product HOLD recalls and damage.
- Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring they are accounted for and properly dispositioned.
- Creates and uses metrics to manage day‑to‑day operations and communicates performance to the customer.
- Supports the site quality management system.
- Develops and implements purchasing and inventory control procedures and sequence of operations within the department to optimize workflow.
- With customers, reviews market, price, delivery conditions, and trends to determine present and future material availability and directs inventory programs accordingly.
- Oversees disposal of surplus material or scrap products.
- Monitors order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy and customer contracts.
- Reviews weekly inventory trends and discusses variations with appropriate staff members and customers.
- Deals with suppliers when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions.
- Oversees multiple employees in a multi‑faced environment to complete inbound, stocking, picking, packing, inventory, shipping, and return processing activities.
- Regulates daily workload and assigns productivity goals based on customer demands.
- Trains, coaches, engages, and develops employees on efficient work methods aimed at improving the accuracy, efficiency, profitability, safety, and security of the operation.
- Interviews, hires and/or promotes, onboard and trains employees to sustain a successful onboarding experience.
- Advocates and supports corporate training programs for direct reports to prepare team members for career path progression opportunities.
- Manages hourly employee scheduling through workforce management software (UKG).
- Monitors hourly employee performance, year‑end reviews, scheduling, and one‑on‑one developmental meetings.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts in the warehouse by leading team projects to improve operational efficiency and customer profits in conjunction with lean management principles.
- Maintains knowledge of contractual requirements regarding the execution of services and key performance metrics detailing the measurement of our performance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
- 1+ year(s) of supervisor experience or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2+ years of Inventory Supervisor experience.
- Previous experience working for a third‑party logistics provider preferred.
- Strong background with WMS (Required). Advanced knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and MS Office Suite products.
- Strong analytical abilities coupled with superior team‑building skills.
- Experience with multi‑shift operations.
- Effective decision‑making ability in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to stay ahead of the curve by finding new and innovative ways to satisfy the customer and improve inventory accuracy.
- High energy level and the drive to implement change.
- Hands‑on, able to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high visibility in operations.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.

- Spends 90% of time on warehouse floor in a fast‑paced environment.
