The Contract Logistics Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing all inventory operations, ensuring the accuracy of inventory systems, and closely monitoring overall performance metrics. They provide mentorship and guidance to associates, address operational issues, and lead projects to improve existing procedures. In addition, they ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and timely to maintain smooth inventory control processes. You will work Monday through Friday each week.
Schedule& Compensation
Monday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.;
Tuesday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Annual salary: $65,000 paid biweekly.
- Directly supervise all associates performing inventory management functions
- Oversee internal inventory control procedures and address exceptions or discrepancies promptly
- Collaborate with department managers to understand key projects, initiatives, and workloads
- Lead efforts to verify and manage inventory with precision
- Implement daily inventory policies, including velocity targets, profile reviews, customer forecast assessments, and slotting
- Apply best‑practice inventory techniques with comprehensive tracking and root‑cause analysis
- Work with security to develop loss prevention policies
- Develop streamlined procedures for managing inventory
- Conduct assessments to drive continuous improvement and maintain best‑in‑class status
- Reconcile inventories and coordinate annual physical inventory
- Develop a recovery program for defective products
- Manage inventory quality and accuracy initiatives, providing weekly and monthly reports
- Audit return transactions and relocate returned products efficiently
- Maintain precise departmental records to support shortage identification
- Prepare detailed documentation for inventory counting
- Ensure timely weekly and monthly reports
- At least five years of experience, including two years in supervision, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience managing inventory control in a distribution center, high‑volume third‑party warehouse, or cross‑dock facility
- WMS experience required; SAP experience preferred
- Experience with ISO 9000 and related standards preferred
- Extensive process documentation, procedural development, and quality management experience
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Robust quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and maintain strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (preferred)
- Substantial time on the production floor and in the office, maintaining communication with employees, management, and key customer contacts
- Capable of working extended hours as required
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
