Greer's Markets - 200 Main Street - Responsibilities:
Initiate and/or make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, discipline, promotion and evaluation of department personnel;
Orient and train new associates and retrain as necessary;
Develop a fair weekly labor schedule for the department;
Maintain sales, gross profit and labor projections and strive to improve them;
Supervise ordering, merchandising, and inventory control to minimize out-of-stocks;
Ensure compliance with State Health Department requirements;
Communicate with store management on problems and merchandising decisions;
Supervise department safety, cleanliness, and equipment usage;
Conduct department meetings to review merchandising and operations
