Location: Raymond

Assembler – Raymond, MS

Position: 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12am, Monday-Friday). Starting rate $24.75, with potential for advancement.

What You’ll Do:
  • Observe and follow all safety rules.
  • Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or following blueprints; fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Audit production parts to maintain adequate stock to fulfill production needs.
  • Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between parts.
  • Operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation.
  • May be required to work at different stations as production needs warrant.
  • Operate overhead hoist to maneuver material.
  • Operate forklift to move products throughout the plant.
  • Operate hand tools to assemble products.
  • Operate power and manual pallet jacks throughout the plant.
  • Be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.
  • Perform other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
What You’ll Bring :
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • One year certificate from college or technical school (preferred).
  • Up to 1 year of experience in some industry or a combination of education and experience, or demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read work instructions.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as hand drills and air tools.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic skill level in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (highly desirable).
