Starting Pay Range: $19.25-$20.90/hr plus a $1.00 shift premium

Hours:

11pm - 7am Monday-Friday. Holiday & Weekend work required.

Location:

Applicant must reside in a 30-mile radius of the facility.

• troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• work in any department of the feed mill.
• stand, walk, bend, stretch, twist, climb, push and pull up to 300lb buggies, and reach as required.
• lift as required depending on area.
• work on elevated surfaces and operate in dusty, cold, damp or hot and humid environments with slippery walking surfaces.
• communicate orally and in writing, and possess basic math and computer skills.
• enter data into a handheld computer system.
• use basic hand tools, operate power tools and all automated equipment, saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders, and ladders.
• obtain powered industrial truck certification (PIT).
• work with specialized equipment, observe usage, keep machines cleaned, and work with contractors.
• undergo training to set up, operate, and shut down equipment; performance evaluated by Tyson and vendor.
• fabricate by welding and cutting.
• read and write to follow preventive maintenance program.
• perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting or relevant work experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days and no more than three times worked at Tyson Foods.
