Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Overtime as needed.
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist senior engineers in the design, construction, and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and systems. You will support capital expenditure projects, new product introductions, and lean manufacturing initiatives, leveraging technology to enhance plant KPIs and overall performance.
Responsibilities- Perform routine tasks and learn company procedures.
- Develop a foundational understanding of engineering principles.
- Support capital expenditure projects and new product introductions.
- Assist with lean manufacturing initiatives and technology implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Packaging or equivalent.
- If no completed bachelor's degree, equivalents:
Associate's degree with 2 years related experience, or high school diploma with 4 years related experience, or military equivalency. - No professional experience required for holders of a Bachelor's degree in designated fields.
- Ability to work in Bruce, MS without relocation assistance.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Unrestricted right to work in the US.
- Experience with powder paint, assembly, welding and/or sewing.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Electrical experience.
- Experience with technology: cameras, PLCs and/or robotics.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and/or Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Advanced welding experience.
- Support preparation of basic engineering documentation such as Enterprise Change Management and Request for Expenditures.
- Assist other engineers in analyzing product and manufacturing designs to identify potential solutions.
- Lift, push, pull up to 100 lbs.
- Perform standardized manufacturing tests and document results under supervision.
- Develop foundational understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Assist in implementing basic manufacturing processes, including material handling and documentation.
- Participate in cross‑functional team meetings.
- Troubleshoot basic manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
