Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is a frontline manufacturing leader responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across their assigned shift and production area. This role serves as the direct link between Plant Leadership and the hourly workforce—translating priorities into action, holding people accountable, and ensuring every shift runs with discipline and purpose.
Primary Responsibilities- Safety Leadership:
Champion a safe working environment by ensuring all employees understand and comply with company safety policies. Schedule and conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions. Promptly investigate all accidents and near misses, complete incident reports, and drive root‑cause analysis with corrective actions. - Quality & Process Control:
Assign and instruct the workforce to sustain high‑quality production output while following all process procedures. Identify and respond to out‑of‑control processes, enforce plant priorities, and communicate issues to service departments in writing as needed. - People Management:
Supervise, direct, and hold the team accountable for area results. Maintain discipline in accordance with company policy. - Operational Oversight:
Own all operational aspects of the assigned area and shift. Monitor equipment condition, employee adherence to procedures, and housekeeping standards continuously. Complete daily production reports, attendance reports, and time‑keeping records. - Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement by leading process improvement projects, coordinating hands‑on training for hourly personnel, and actively participating in initiatives aimed at advancing operational efficiency and process excellence. - Shift Continuity:
Maintain shift continuity by clearly communicating area status, priorities, and open issues to incoming supervisors through verbal hand‑offs, emails, or other established methods.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on manufacturing experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to lead a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and a high level of social awareness. Success in this role requires equal parts operational knowledge and people leadership—a person who can read the floor, solve problems in real time, and build a culture where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are the standard, not the exception.
Requirements- 3–5 years of previous supervisor experience (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to read people and situations effectively
- Ability to build trust with the team while maintaining clear boundaries and consistent accountability

This is a manufacturing floor‑based role requiring frequent walking, standing, lifting, and hands‑on interaction with equipment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams is essential. This is NOT an office position.
