Shift & Schedule Dynamics
This position operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility. We are currently seeking supervisors for both Day Shift and Night Shift teams.
- The Shift
Schedule:
Supervisors work an alternating 2-2-3 rotation, which requires working every other weekend. - Shift
Hours: - Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Shift Handoff:
Supervisors are expected to arrive slightly early for their shift to complete a comprehensive operational pass-down with the departing supervisor.

Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing shift employees while ensuring all safety, quality, and output standards are met. This role combines hands-on floor leadership, workflow optimization, and technical troubleshooting to maintain a lean and efficient production environment.
- Shift Leadership:
Oversee daily production operations, direct workflows, and organize schedules to maximize efficiency while ensuring all work instructions are strictly followed. - Team Management:
Conduct performance reviews, participate in the hiring process, and initiate employee disciplinary action when necessary. - Inventory & Quality Control:
Ensure all manufactured products are correctly identified, weighed, and moved to the warehouse accurately. - Technical Troubleshooting:
Maintain a deep understanding of production machinery and processes; quickly troubleshoot operational issues as they arise and coordinate with the maintenance department on equipment repairs. - Safety & Compliance:
Enforce company policies and ensure all shift employees comply with applicable workplace safety regulations and procedures. - Operational Administration:
Guarantee that all shift paperwork is fully completed, accurate, and submitted. Generate purchase requisitions for necessary materials and tools. - Continuous Improvement:
Actively maintain facility 5S standards and lead clean floor initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience & Education
- Experience:
3–5 years of proven manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience is required. - Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Systems Proficiency:
Proficient in the use of enterprise resource planning software (ERP, IQMS, or MRP frameworks) alongside Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Core Competencies:
Thorough understanding of (or the quick ability to learn) complex production machinery, manufacturing workflows, and automated operations. - Leadership Drive:
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a proven history of prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibility effectively. - Process Optimization:
Prior experience participating in or leading continuous improvement, Lean, or 5S activities. - Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills paired with strong critical thinking capabilities. - Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional organizational skills and a high attention to structural detail.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move about the manufacturing floor for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
