Job Description
Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in Blue Springs, MS
. Our client is a leading manufacturer in lightweight, aluminum high-pressure die casting structural and power train. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance as assigned by work orders or emergency request from management.
- Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and set aside product for inspection and rework. Test equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime.
- Makes preventative maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
- Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, quality problems or supplies needed.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Performs other duties as required or directed.
- Authorized to stop production when approved by Management.
- Implement and assure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding all applicable governmental regulatory compliance issues.
- Adheres to company initiatives on business ethics and conduct.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, and 6S.
- Ability to work in an unsupervised capacity.
- High degree of attention and care required, preventing injury to self, others and equipment when operating machine tools.
- Ability to exercise good judgment when making quick decisions.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as work instructions, material labels, print codes.
- Ability to understand how to operate machines.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with people to create a team environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgment when making good decision.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus satisfactory completion of one-year training program in industrial maintenance or work experience in maintenance department of three (3) years.
