General Manager

Our client is currently seeking a GENERAL MANAGER in MS.

The General Manager will lead cross‑functional teams, optimize processes, and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers while fostering a culture of safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

• Provide overall leadership and direction for plant operations, including production, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and safety.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and on‑time delivery for OEM and proprietary product lines.
• Oversee heavy steel fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and related processes in a multi‑facility or large‑scale manufacturing setting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
• Manage P&L responsibilities, budgeting, cost control, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality certifications.
• Build and mentor high‑performing teams, promoting employee development and a positive workplace culture.

• Bachelor’s degree (4‑year degree) in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
• Significant plant management experience (typically 8+ years) in a manufacturing environment, with direct responsibility for full plant operations.
• OEM experience is mandatory — proven track record working with or supplying Original Equipment Manufacturers in a fabrication or component manufacturing setting.
• Strong background in steel fabrication, heavy manufacturing, welding, machining, or related industrial processes.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams of 100+ employees in a multi‑shift operation.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, ERP systems, and data‑driven decision making.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Deep knowledge of safety standards (OSHA) and quality systems (ISO, etc.).
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and driving profitability.
• Customer‑focused mindset with experience managing OEM relationships and expectations.
