Position: Production Operator I (Byhalia)
Location: Byhalia

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Production Operator in our Byhalia, MS location.

JOB SUMMARY

Develops and applies basic knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment needed for the position. Focused on a limited range of activities. Completes routine tasks that are typically embedded in SOPs, operational or technical work practices and guidelines. Learns to identify deviations from accepted practice or procedure. Identifies and solves routine problems that involve direct application of skills and knowledge.

Seeks the input and assistance of others. May be paired with another seasoned Mfg Op for training & guidance. Learns the responsibilities of being a team member. Participates as a team member. Collaborates primarily within the immediate work unit, which may be cross‑functional.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (List In Order Of Priority)
  • Must adhere to all safe work practices and rules.
  • Performs tasks associated with general production processes.
  • Process raw materials, deliver supplies and components to appropriate workstations.
  • Palletize finished product.
  • Practices 6S and maintains cleanliness work areas and floors.
  • Assist machine operators and Team Leader when necessary.
  • Immediately report safety and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate team leaders.
  • Basic machinery operation.
  • Proper completion of required paperwork.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • No related experience required*; learning role.
  • Paired with another Qualified Mfg Operator.
  • Requires oversight & double-checking.
  • May participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
Required Work Experience
  • 0–2 years’ experience as a Production Operator.
Required Education, Certifications, Training
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Will learn basic set‑ups.
  • Will learn and sustain the 6S process.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs. walking and/or standing approximately 90% of the time; sitting approximately 10% of the time. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Requires the ability to use tools such as pneumatic screwdrivers, drills, nut drivers, wire harness tooling.

Audible/Visual:
Requires ability to hear; requires the ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance.
