Job Description:
  • Continuous improvement: employee must evaluate, monitor, and elevate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream. Contingent worker must be able to support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills.
  • Proper use of equipment: employee must possess fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts. Includes understanding operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices associated with such machinery. Must operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities, including but not limited to electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach trucks and turret trucks.
  • Receive shipments: employee must be able to unload shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Inspect shipments: employee must be able to visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to standard operating procedures.
  • Quality control checks: employee must review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
  • Documenting receipts: employee must use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order.
  • Data entry: employee must navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly from physical delivery of a part.
  • Packaging: employee must identify what type of packaging is needed for parts, and properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
  • Sorting and staging: employee must move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it is identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow.
  • Labeling and marking: employee must ensure all parts are labeled, with identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure to analyze parts through the workflow.
  • Storage assignment/auditing: employee must properly store and use good judgment along with standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk, and audit per a standard operating procedure.
Skills &

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
  • Safety is a top priority; employee must strictly adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing PPE, following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
  • Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Previous certified forklift experience.
Desired:
  • Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
