Schedule: Night shift, 4 nights per week, 10-hour shifts (3 days off every week)

About the RoleWe're looking for skilled welders to join our night shift team in Pearl, MS. You'll weld carbon steel fabrications ranging from precision transformer tanks and enclosures to heavy structural steel. This is production welding on real, mission-critical equipment - quality matters, and we pay for it.
What You'll Do- Perform MIG (GMAW) and flux-cored (FCAW) welding on carbon steel plate and structural members
- Weld transformer tanks, enclosures, and structural assemblies to drawing specifications and weld symbols
- Fit-up, tack, and weld-out parts with attention to distortion control and weld quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Grind, prep, and finish welds to meet leak-test and inspection requirements
- Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and material handling equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures
- Inspect your own work and flag issues before they move downstream
Required:
- 2+ years of MIG/flux-core welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Ability to pass a weld test (plate, multiple positions)
- Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment
- Reliable attendance - night shift depends on a full crew
Preferred:
- Ability to perform fitting - laying out, fitting up, and tacking assemblies from drawings
- Experience welding tanks, vessels, or leak-tight fabrications
- Experience with heavy structural steel fabrication
- Forklift and overhead crane experience
- Stick (SMAW) welding experience
- $25-$30/hour starting pay, based on skill and weld test results
- 3-day weekends, every week - 4 nights on, 3 off
- Night shift differential built into the rate
