What Youll Do- Observes and follow all safety rules
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends as scheduled
- Conveys materials using carts pallet jacks or forklifts if licensed from the paint area to designated areas
- Will manually load and unload materials from the paint line conveyor system however never lifting more than 50 pounds without a team lift or the use of lifting devices
- Sorts and places materials on racks shelves or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size type style color or product code after the painting process
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
- Visually inspect finished painted materials to support quality
- Working as a team is essential in the coordination of loading and unloading materials
- Safe operation of forklifts hand trucks pallet jacks cranes or other moving equipment
- Will work toward training in the various paint line stations to progress into the next progression role
- Maintain work area to sustain a clean and orderly environment
- Additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED is required and mechanical work experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be trained to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts overhead cranes motorized pallet jacks or manual pallet jacks
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondences and memos
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers
