We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead manufacturing engineering and maintenance operations at a well-established seating manufacturing facility in Bruce, Mississippi
.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you will oversee 3 Manufacturing Engineers and 6 Maintenance Technicians while partnering closely with operations, quality, supply chain, and other cross‑functional teams.
What You'll Do- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance Technicians
- Oversee manufacturing engineering activities for a 240-person plant
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, productivity, and efficiency
- Manage capital projects, capital budgeting, and investment approvals
- Lead equipment installations, equipment run‑offs, and facility/plant layout improvements
- Identify manufacturing challenges and work directly with operators and plant leadership to develop solutions
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, sales, and operations
- Help maintain the plant's strong culture and exceptionally high employee retention
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology
, or a related field - 5+ years of manufacturing/operations experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing or leading technical teams
- Experience with capital projects, capital budgeting, or equipment investment
- Experience with plant or facility layout
- Strong problem-solving and critical‑thinking skills
- Ability to work directly with operators and technical teams on the manufacturing floor
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite in Bruce, Mississippi, Monday–Friday
