The Production Operator is responsible for supporting various roles within a laundry plant, primarily in Soil and Clean operations, by rotating through multiple positions to ensure efficient linen processing and delivery.
Responsibilitiesreceiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and loading linens, while operating equipment safely and meeting quality standards.
In Soil Operations
, employees sort returned, soiled linens into appropriate classifications, open customer soil bags, and prepare carts for cleaning and reuse.
In Clean Operations
, roles involve stacking linens, operating folding and ironing machines, and ensuring product quality by removing stained or damaged items.
The role requires learning multiple equipment and positions, with a typical training period of 2-5 days per role, and meeting standards within two weeks.
Additional duties include adhering to safety and quality standards, performing other assigned tasks, and maintaining proper recordkeeping.
Qualificationshigh school diploma or GED preferred, excellent teamwork skills, flexibility to rotate roles, and basic computer knowledge.
