Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM)

The clinical coordinator (CC)/clinical nurse manager (CNM) is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. This may include patient care assessment, patient care planning and implementation, and working on patient care quality improvement.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Proficient in all responsibilities related to case management, including assessment according to protocols and procedures.
  • Provide case management to a group of patients and offer specific assessments and education related to wound care management.
  • Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities and provide clinical oversight to clinical staff, including RNs, LPNs, LVNs, CMAs and Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians.
  • Collaborate with other health care providers, key hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to current processes and procedures while complying with HPAA, DOH and other requirements.
  • Engage in staff development, providing in‑services, individual instruction and orientation; recognize staff through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective with the Program Director.
  • If Vein Care services are provided, coordinate the vein clinic and assist in care as needed after training.
  • Collaborate with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators.
  • May serve as a documentation assistant (scribe) and perform hyperbaric safety director duties after training; may act as a chamber operator or emergency chamber operator.
  • Perform patient care based on Center staffing needs and perform other duties as required.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials
  • Current RN license maintained throughout employment.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum;
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • One year RN experience required; two or more years preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Wound care certification preferred.
Required Knowledge,

  • Current BLS required.
  • Planning, organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and explain concepts in layman’s terms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and follow‑up skills.

  • Research and teaching abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hospital databases and web‑based databases.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stationary for extended periods (≥4 hours).
  • View computer screen for extended periods (≥4 hours).
  • Key frequently on a computer for 4+ hours.
  • Close, distance and peripheral vision required.
  • Reading, communicating, writing.
  • Lift/move items up to 20 pounds; with assistance up to 75 pounds.
  • Pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching.
  • Travel distances by car or airplane.

Work environment is primarily indoor office and patient care environments with exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens and chemicals.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $70,600.00–$95,100.00 annually.
