Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists residents with basic personal care such as bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, and related tasks.
• Maintains resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner: light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assists with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notifies supervisor of clothing needs as they arise.
• Prepares residents for meals, assists with serving meals and feeding residents.
• May be cross trained in Assisted Living.

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing of the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Pay Range: $15.28 - $20.34 per hour.
