First-level Nursing position

Accountable for administering medication and other prescribed treatments, taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport and/or escort to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary. Mentors and delegates work to CNAs.

Ability to administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician. Ability to chart medications and treatments as applicable on client's individual medication administration record. Perform nursing assessments as indicated. Obtain lab specimens as ordered. Ability to enter and access data from various computer software applications including Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Certificate from an Approved School of Nursing, Licensure as an LPN and 0-4 years of experience.
