Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership and clinical oversight for the Emergency Department and Wound Care services.
- Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and regulatory compliance.
- Manage staffing, performance management, quality improvement, budgeting support, and department operations.
- Promote evidence-based practice and continuous clinical excellence.
- Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; respond to operational challenges and maintain regulatory readiness.
- Support staff through change and complex patient care situations; collaborate with Nursing Directors, charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary leaders to improve patient flow, staff development, patient satisfaction, and organizational performance.
- Serve as department leader in the absence of Nursing Directors; engage in regular unit rounding and staff coaching.
- Participate in projects related to department operations and quality initiatives.
CRMC provides rural emergency care with the goal of quick, effective responses to both trauma and routine concerns. The department coordinates care across emergencies, including organ actions like emergency airlifts, and serves as a safety net for the community while adapting to daily demands.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Minnesota RN license
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association ACLS and PALS required within 4 months of hire
- TNCC required within 1 year of hire
- Prior leadership experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in hospital-based leadership roles
- Preferred:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on experience, education/certifications, and market conditions.
